Terms of Service

By commissioning me you are agreeing to these Terms of Service

I retain all rights to the finished commission and
Works in Progress (WIP) files produced.Unless agreed to my work is not available for commercial use.
My work may NOT be used in any part for non-fungible tokens (NFT), blockchain, crypto currency, AI image generators, and future inventions of these technologies.

If your commission is cancelled, you lose all rights and ownership of any Works in Progress (WIP) files.

I Have The Right To:

  • Distribute, reproduce, self-promote, and display the commission

  • Decline any commission

  • Cancel a commission due to conduct or lack of response

You May:

  • Repost for personal use with credit given to TheJessofMess

  • Print or display for personal use

  • Use in videos or other media for personal use with credit given to TheJessofMess

You May Not:

  • Claim the commision as your own

  • Remove/Hide/Obscure my watermark and signature

  • Modify/Trace/Edit the commission to claim as your own

  • Resell or make profit with the commission (unless agreed to)

-Commissioning-

  • You must be 13+ years of age to order a commission

  • You are responsible for responding in a timely manner. If you don't respond after a week from check-in, your commission may be moved down in priority. If you don't respond for longer than 4 weeks, your commission may be cancelled: 50% refund if before Lineart Stage, no refund if after.

  • Commissions will be delivered via Discord or email

  • Commissions will be delivered at 300dpi. File sizes will vary, shortest dimension will be a minimum of 1500px (icons/emotes are exception)

-Payments-

  • Payments are accepted via Paypal invoice

  • 100% payment is within 1 week of invoice. If payment not made by then, your commission may be cancelled

  • No work will begin until payment is made

  • Slots won't be held

-The Process-

Commissions are typically worked on weekends. I do not work to schedule.
If you have a specific deadline let me know but I cannot guarantee it.

General Commissions

  • Commission process is divided into 5 Stages: Sketch > Lineart > Flats > Render > Complete

  • Each Stage you will get a check-in of progress

  • You may request major revisions during the Sketch State, within reason. You may request 1 minor revision during each Lineart, Flats, and Render Stage. Additional revisions will require a +5% (of the entire commission) charge. Numerous and unreasonable requests may result in your commission being cancelled

  • Commissions are worked in the order of payment

Character Design

  • Character Design will happen before the Sketch Stage to bring your character to life!

  • I may sketch multiple concepts or one, depending on the character.

  • You may request major revisions, within reason

  • Please have all descriptions, reference images, etc. available. I will ask a lot of questions

  • Once concept is complete, I will start sketching your commission piece

-Refunds-

  • Refunds are ONLY accepted if before Lineart Stage. A 50% refund will be provided. Repeated requests for refunds may result in being denied future services

  • After the Lineart Stage there are NO REFUNDS

  • Do NOT File Chargebacks. Reach out to me first. If you file a chargeback you may be blocked from future services

  • Original and Fan Characters

  • Fandoms and Shipping

  • Humans and Humanoids

  • Anthropomorphic and Animals

  • Horror and Gore

  • Mildly Suggestive (no children or appearance of)

  • Dark colors and glow rendering

Inexperienced In:

  • Mech and Robots

  • Landscapes

  • Hyperrealism

  • Pixel Art

  • Pop Art and Bright Colors

Will NOT Draw:

  • Sexual or Fetish Art

  • Extreme Gore

  • Political or Hate Art

  • Copy another's art
